The first Yalta European Seminar took place in July 2004. The theme was: "The new boarders of the European Union: a new strategy for partnership?". 22 politicians, experts, academics, business leaders and journalists from 9 countries met each other. Conclusion of this seminar? The foundation of YES, an international network to support Ukraine in the EU.
